Who are my Photographers?
I AM! (Meg Sockel). While Image Society is a husband and wife team, this genre is for the ladies only. You will have a private session with me (Meg) as your photographer. Please note, we respect your privacy therefore Scott has nothing to do with the editing or viewing of any images.
Do you photograph men in boudoir sessions?
No, I only photograph women in a Boudoir session. Sorry guys!
What should I bring to my session?
I do not have a selection of dresses or lingerie so you do need to bring your own. I will be in communication with you prior so we can game plan what you need to bring to achieve your photo goals. But bring options and lots of them! I can help you pick once I see what you have! Bring dresses and lingerie that you are inspired by, makes you feel sexy, accessories you love and the best, hottest and highest heels you own!
What if I’m not as skinny as I planned or I feel puffy on the day of my shoot? Can I cancel?
I understand but we ALL have those days. The last time I was photographed for boudoir, I was 14 weeks pregnant. I did not feel sexy….but I LOVE my images now!!! So the truth is… that is how YOU FEEL and not how you actually look or how the LOVE OF YOUR LIFE sees you. It’s perception vs reality. The reality is you are beautiful! Quite frankly, that excuse is silly and no – you can not cancel for that reason. You need to trust me to capture the best you, which I will and you will love your images and thank me later.
How long does it take before I can see my photos?
I am exhausted after a session, so I do have you come back to view your photos after I have had time to edit and few them with fresh eyes. We will book a viewing session at the time we photograph you. Typically, I want you to come back in 1-2 weeks after the session. At the viewing, you will be asked to pick out your images that will go in your album or other products.
What should I expect during my session?
Expect the session to last roughly 2 hours. Expect to work together to find the best poses and angles that will compliment you and show off who you are. Expect to laugh and have fun. Honestly, the hardest part is keeping it a secret!
Should I go tanning before my shoot?
Tanning is fine, but to be honest I do not like it. Tanning beds cause crazy tan lines under your arms and the smile lines under your bum and those show during your session. Also, if you tan too much, you will look orange and I cannot fix orange. I prefer a spray tan done by an actual professional. They can dial in the perfect color and make sure you look even and perfect!
Can I drink before and during my shoot?
Sure but I want you to be safe about it. If you have more than 2, please have someone pick you up. If you are a girl that turns red or blotchy when you drink, please do not drink. Hot tea will be better for you if you have nerves.
Can I wear clothes the entire time?
Women’s Portraiture does not require you to be anything! You and I will be on the same page about your goals for the session. Some women only want to do formal wear while others would like a high end nude look and then there are those in the middle. The environment is 100% professional. Nude photography is entirely up to your comfort level. I do love an image that shows your back, or a body silhouette, maybe a sneak peak or just gives the impression that you are nude. These images are always stunning and are the ultimate WOW page in your album.
Will you be using my photos on your website?
While I do reserve the right to use non-identifying images that do not show your face, you will have complete control over photos that show your face. Within the model release, the client will be able to have the right as to what images can be used. Online galleries are password protected. If I do anything with your images online, you will know about it before I post!
